Client’s wishes:A comfortable space for family members. The apartment should become a place of power, an environment where nothing will remind of office work, difficult weeks, and it shouldn’t even have a work space.
The apartment needs to accommodate a large kitchen-living room, a room for parents, children’s rooms, a dressing room and 2 bathrooms. The family likes the Scandinavian style, so they asked to use it in design

We used natural colors and environmentally friendly materials in the main space: parquet boards, a wooden kitchen, veneered doors and wall panels.

We decided to use a large folding table for the kitchen-living room because our customers often have friends coming over. We also developed a supply and exhaust ventilation and air conditioning system at the request of the father, who is concerned about a healthy climate in the apartment.

Despite the minimalism, the parents’ bedroom does not look sad: we placed accents with veneered panels and a contrasting and yet subtle bed. The bedroom has the direct access to the dressing room.

We designed children’s rooms looking into the future, because children grow quickly and there is no point in using too “childish” colors. We used muted wall paints and added some bright accents.

We installed shower systems in both bathrooms, because neither family member likes the actual bathtub. The main requirement for the type of wall finishing was easy cleaning.

Project Chronicles

Parents attentively listened to the thoughts and wishes of an eleven-year-old girl and actually implemented them in the design. It was nice. And fair enough.

Having listened to yet another load of eleven-year-old girl wishes, the father spoke out: “If the baby could talk, we would have a dozen more “Oh let’s do this!” moments here”!

“We like Scandinavia and we need it here in Ukraine, literally on these 85 sq. m”.
